Subacute Rehabilitation Program

Therapy Gym

Our unique subacute level rehabilitation program is what distinguishes AristaCare at Alameda Center from all other short term rehab facilities. At AristaCare at Alameda Center, patients receive customized, intensive therapy, seven days a week in an acute level setting. This aggressive approach ensures better outcomes, and a faster recovery.

Therapy GymAt AristaCare at Alameda Center, we feature a separate floor dedicated to short term care where our highly trained nursing department is uniquely qualified to care for all our patients' needs. The floor boasts a high nurse to patient ratio. Every amenity possible is provided to ensure that each patient is comfortable and feels at home. Our goal is to bring each patient to their highest possible level of functioning in the shortest amount of time, utilizing a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach.

WiihabilitationOur primary focus is to rehabilitate each patient to their highest function level possible. Aside from traditional therapy, we have a complete Therapeutic Recreation department which works to accomplish these same goals. One of the tools we use to do this is the Nintendo Wii gaming system. We use the Wii system as a training tool to increase range of motion, train balance, increase endurance, and promote better general physical and mental health. Under the supervision of a therapist, the patient works on specific goals, but views the rehab as extra curricular entertainment. Virtual reality tools such as the Wii are used by both the therapy & activity staff. This is just one of the many examples of how we incorporate non-traditional therapy/exercise approaches along side proven traditional approaches.
